Pain Killed Puppy

On Thursday we took Ricochet into the vet to get spayed and had her dew claws taken off. That's why she has two little bandages on her back feet. Since neither Jesse nor I have ever taken care of a pet after they come out of surgery, we had no idea what to expect. When we went to pick her up from the vet she was yelping, barking, and pretty much out of control. When we got her home, we noticed that she was kinda walking aimlessly around the apartment. She would be sitting on the couch and the next thing we knew she was whining her way into the bathroom, lied on the floor mat and was out. So to keep her calm until the anesthesia wore off, we spoiled her.

She wandered into our bedroom. It was almost scary seeing her drugged up, we didn't know what she was going to do next.

Jesse trying to comfort her and keep her calm until she started acting more like herself.

She looked very scared and not with it.

Under her princess blanky :) What a cutie

It was funny seeing our puppy with our last name!

Still looking scared and not really knowing who we are.

As soon as the anesthesia wore off, it was like she was a completely different puppy. She is very active and doesn't mind the cone, the bandages are another story.

She ended up chewing her green bandages off during the so I took her back to the vet to get them re-wrapped and the girls that were working decided to wrap her feet in hot pink!

The girls at the vet also put this little message on her feet. It says I love you. It's very cute.

Ricochet

Wow it's been way to long since our last post. The newest thing that has happened to Jesse and I is that we got a puppy. Her name is Ricochet, she is a mix of a Pomeranian and a Miniature Pincher. We got her when she was about 8 weeks old from a good friend, Cindy Armstrong. She was the only gold puppy out of the litter that was delivered, there were 3 others that are all brown. She has been so much fun to have around! Here are a few pictures of our little bundle of joy :)

In this picture she was about 5 weeks old, so we were just visiting her because she wasn't old enough to take home yet.

She was so tiny. I couldn't believe that something could be that small.

Jennifer absolutely adored her!

She loves to cuddle

Jesse and Ricochet

Yes..... she does sleep with us! And surprisingly she's really good with our schedule. Jesse and I are definitely night owls. We stay up until 3 and sleep until noon. We were a little worried when we got a puppy that we were going to have to change that, but Ricochet will stay up until 2-3 and sleep until we wake up!

Sleepy puppy... and people

Jesse works out with her! It's the funniest thing because she'll just sit there until he's done.

Workin the triceps

One day she decided that she didn't like our couch... so she ripped it up. Luckily we don't really care about that couch.

All of the cotton that she pulled out of the couch... that's a good puppy :)

Jesse tells me that he cheats on me with a cute little blonde haha

BATH TIME!!

It's funny cause she looks like the puppy on the front of her shampoo :) cute!

Ricochet loves taking baths!

She loves her back getting scrubbed

Getting all soapy

Time to dry off

We absolutely love having Ricochet!! She has been so much fun and not to mention she's really cute!

Indiana Jones Ride In Real Life!

Ever since I was three years old, Nicole Norman (Patterson) and I have been best friends, luckily we both got married within one year of each other and now are living in Logan, Utah with our husbands. Jesse and I love hanging out with Derrick and Nicole because it is always an exciting and fun time. On Saturday, July 10, Derrick and Nicole invited us to go on a jeep ride with them... but not any old ride-down-a-flat-road-and-feel-like-you're-not-going-to-fall-out-of-the-jeep ride, we went on a grip-the-handle/seat-in-front-of-you/anything-around-you-white-knuckled jeep ride and climbed a mountain. It was so much fun and luckily my camera didn't fall out and get smashed by the jeep, like our water bottles did, so I have fun pictures of the whole afternoon.

We are buckled, tightly in :) and ready for the ride

The mountains were so pretty and when
we got to the top where it
flattened out I was brave enough to bring my camera
out knowing that it wouldn't be thrown overboard

Happy Father's Day!!

I love Father's Day because we get to honor those
men in our lives that do so much
for us!

My dad has been a man who has always put family first,
worked hard for his wife and for his children. I
love my dad so much and I'm so glad that there is a day in the year that
is set aside from all the other days to recognize our fathers
and all that they do! Happy Father's Day dad. We love
you so much!!

To my compassionate and hardworking Father-in-law
Noel. Words cannot express how excited and proud I am to be a part
of a wonderful family with a father
who is a great role model! A man who is very kind and generous, a man
who cares so deeply about his family.
Jesse and I love you so much! Thank you for all you do!!

And last but definitely not least I want to thank my wonderful husband for all that
he does. He is so thoughtful and good to me.
I know that the day that we have kids, he's going to make
the best father in the world.
I love you SWEETIE!

Happy Father's Day to every father or husband around the world
