Happy Father's Day!!

I love Father's Day because we get to honor those
men in our lives that do so much
for us!

My dad has been a man who has always put family first,
worked hard for his wife and for his children. I
love my dad so much and I'm so glad that there is a day in the year that
is set aside from all the other days to recognize our fathers
and all that they do! Happy Father's Day dad. We love
you so much!!

To my compassionate and hardworking Father-in-law
Noel. Words cannot express how excited and proud I am to be a part
of a wonderful family with a father
who is a great role model! A man who is very kind and generous, a man
who cares so deeply about his family.
Jesse and I love you so much! Thank you for all you do!!

And last but definitely not least I want to thank my wonderful husband for all that
he does. He is so thoughtful and good to me.
I know that the day that we have kids, he's going to make
the best father in the world.
I love you SWEETIE!

Happy Father's Day to every father or husband around the world

Mountains were not meant for mermaids!

This summer we have decided to pick up a new hobby! Last week we went to the County Courthouse and pick up a hiking guide. Neither Jesse or I have ever been big when it comes to hiking, so on our first hike we took 2 liters of soda, a big bag of candy, and wore Levis with flip-flops... just kidding we're not that out of it. We were prepared as much as we could be when we went on our first hike today. We decided to start our hobby out with the shortest hike in the pamphlet, which was 1.8 miles. This was a neat hike, it's called the Wind Caves.

Jesse on the hiking trail! It was a perfect day to go hiking, not too hot and not too cold!

Taking a break :) I thought it was really tiring. I was the leader and was taking baby steps all the way up the mountain. I didn't want Jesse to be the leader because I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with him without dying.

This is where the trail lead us... kinda scary, but VERY pretty.

Nature is so pretty!!! During the hike Jesse did all that he could to keep me focused on the trail rather than on the plants and bugs around us... as is shown in the picture below :)

We found little caves while we were hiking to the Wind Caves.

Taking another pit-stop

Enjoying the view... We were up so high that the cars on the highway looked like toy cars.

After an hour and a half of hiking up a mountain we finally made it to the caves. It was scary because at the edge of the cave was a cliff. It rained the night before we went hiking, so we had to be very careful not to slide right off the cliff because of mud.

Jesse standing on a ledge inside the cave.

My turn... so excited to be at the top

Inside the cave looking up. It was so pretty

The entrance of the cave.

Heading back down to the car. It took about 45 minutes to walk down the trail.

We were both so excited, as you can tell, when we finally could see the parking lot!

The Wind Caves was a really fun hike and we are really excited to do another one, hopefully we will be in better shape! By the end of the summer, who knows, we may have hiking sticks and look like legit hikers.

A Home Far Away!

Flaming Gorge has always been a place to get away from everything that is going on in the world and be able to relax. Ever since I was little we would spend a lot of our holidays with family and friends out at our Lodge in Flaming Gorge. I was so excited when I found out that my family was going out to the Lodge over Memorial Day Weekend and they were bringing the boat... with that reason, there was no excuse not to go! Flaming Gorge is a home away from home and I was really excited to share it with Jesse. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back!

The whole family, minus dad who was behind the camera, at Moose Lake.

The campfire!

Jesse and I by the fire

Do I have something on my face?

We both found these jackets at the Lodge and decided to wear them so that our clothes didn't get a smoky smell on them. I also found these lovely pants in one of the rooms there. Luckily they were long enough..... aren't they?

Eatin our s'mores! Yummy!!

Jesse and I with the fish!

Bobby is a natural when it comes to fishing. He would put his pole in and before I could even get the worm on my hook, he'd have a fish! After an hour and a half we decided to pack up and go, Bobby caught two fish, I caught one fish, and Jesse had one bite. Ha-ha it was really funny...Jesse was really intrigued with what Bobby was doing that he didn't know his hook had a fish on it, so he lost it... oh well, he'll get one next time.

Jesse, Bobby, my dad and I all went fishing at 6:00 a.m. I have ALWAYS loved fishing and was so excited to get up early and go fishing, Jesse on the other hand took convincing to get out on the lake that early :) but in the end it was totally worth it!

The family ready for church.

Boating has always been a favorite activity for my family. The last day we were at Flaming Gorge we went boating. We didn't realize how intense the sun was and ended up burning, but it was worth it!

Life as a wife...

Jesse and I have been married for 5 months now! Since we have been married, I have only burned a few things.... surprisingly. Jesse and I love to cook together and are happy when the meal works out!
